The following installation guide we take you through the installation of your new ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS for your 14-22 Toyota 4Runner step by step.
NOTE:Some vehicle require the DRL harness installed for the headlight to function properly.

Step 1: DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
Step 2: FRONT GRILLE REMOVAL
Remove top plastic cover, mounting tap can be remove by pushing the middle of each tap.
Remove the 10mm bolts and the 2 mounting taps on the upper part of the front grille.
Remove the 4 mounting taps on the back of the lower part of the front grille
Step 3: REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BOLTS
Remove the 6 x 10mm bolts (Three on each side by the wheel well)
Remove 6 x 10mm bolts on the bottom across the bumper, UNPLUG THE FOG LIGHT while you are removing the bottom bolts. (See image for arrows indicating the 3 bolts locations on each side)
Remove the other 3 bolts on the other side.
Step 4: REMOVING FRONT BUMPER
Pull on the side of the bumper, using small flat head screwdriver to help release the clips.
Please follow the same procedure for the other side of the bumper
Loosen the front bumper cover and unplug the driver side fog light wire and carefully remove the front bumper completely.
Step 5: REMOVE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
Lift up both side molding along the fender
Remove the 4 bolts that are holding the headlight
Step 6: UNPLUG HEADLIGHT CONNECTORS
With the headlight remove, unplug the 4 connectors
Step 7: INSTALL ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS & DRL HARNESS
With both headlights disconnected, now it’s time to install the DRL harness. You will need to connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal, the black wire to battery’s negative terminal or the 10mm bolts on the firewall
Step 8: TAP THE FUSE
In order for the DRL to function during the day, you will need to tap the grey wire into your INJ fuse (10A) route and connect the two red wires, one to the back of each headlight.
Step 9: TRANSFER BUMPER BRACKET BEFORE INSTALL
Transfer bumper bracket from stock headlights to ALPHAREX headlights.
Screw all headlight bolts and reverse the removal process to completely install the headlight.
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
Step 10: ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
After headlights installation is complete.
You will next aim the headlight at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface.
Clockwise to lower the level
Counterclockwise to raise the level
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
Step 11: COMPLETE INSTALLATION
