The following installation guide we take you through the installation of your new ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS for your 02-05 Dodge Ram 1500 step by step.
NOTE:Some vehicle require the DRL harness installed for the headlight to function properly.

Step 1: DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
Step 2: REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT BOLTS AND SCREWS
Open the hood and start by removing the 2 X 10mm headlight bolts.
Remove the 2 plastic retainers by using a screwdriver.
Use extension to remove the 10mm bolt located at the bottom of the headlight.
Please follow the same steps to remove the other side of the headlight.
Step 3: REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS
After the headlight bolts are removed. Use a panel popper to help you remove the head lamps.
Then carefully pull the headlights outwards towards you to release.
Step 4: UNPLUG THE HEADLIGHTS
Unplug the lights sockets to complete the headlight removal.
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
Step 5: INSTALL ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS
Step 6: ROUTE THE DRL WIRES
Start routing the DRL wires from the driver’s side which is the closest to the battery and fuse box.
Connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal, the black wire to battery’s negative terminal or the 10mm bolts on the firewall.
Route the DRL wires to the both side of the headlights.
Step 7: TAP THE FUSE
Open the fuse box and locate the fuse #29 (20A) Cigarrete lighter.
Crimp the gray wire from the harness to the fuse tap and tap into fuse #29 (20A).
Once done, route the wire and close the fuse box cover.
Step 8: PLUG AND INSTALL THE HEADLIGHTS
Plug the wires into the new ALPHAREX headlights.
Attach the harness to the daytime running light connection on the back of the headlight.
Please repeat the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
Finish the installation by securing the headlights to the truck.
Reverse the headlight removal process to complete the installation.
Step 9: TEST THE HEADLIGHT FUNCTIONS
Test the functions of your ALPHAREX headlights to ensure everything works properly.
Step 10: ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
Once everything has been tested aim your ALPHAREX headlights by parking 25ft from a wall and level the headlight evenly.
