The following installation guide we take you through the installation of your new ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS for your 10-13 Toyota 4Runner Headlights step by step.
NOTE: Some vehicle require the DRL harness installed for the headlight to function properly.

Step 1: DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Whenever working on your vehicle always start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal.
Step 2: FRONT GRILLE/ BUMPER REMOVAL
Remove the radiator support cover. Mounting taps can be remove by pushing the middle of each tap.
Remove the 10mm bolt (middle) from the back of the front grille and use a panel popper to remove 2 mounting taps by the side.
Remove the 4 mounting taps on the back of the lower part of the front grille
Step 3: REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BOLTS
Remove the 6 x 10mm bolts (3 on each side by the wheel well)
Lift the edges of the bumper to release and pull it outward carefully. Please follow the same steps for the other side of the bumper.
Step 4: GAIN ACCESS TO THE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
Carefully loose the bumper by pulling it outward to gain access to the headlight bolt from the mounting bracket. It is not neccessary to remove the whole bumper until you have enough space to reach the headlights’ bolt and mounting bracket.
Please follow the same step for the other side of the bumper.
Step 5: REMOVE HEADLIGHT BOLTS
Remove the 3 X 10mm bolts (2 bolts on the top and 1 bolt on the side of the mounting bracket) for each side of the headlight.
Step 6: UNPLUG AND REMOVE THE HEADLIGHTS
Unplug the light sockets and connectors.
Please follow the same steps for the other side of the headlight.
Step 7: INSTALL ALPHAREX HEADLIGHTS & DRL HARNESS
With both headlights removed, now it’s time to install the DRL harness. You will need to connect the red wire to battery’s positive terminal, the black wire to battery’s negative terminal or the 10mm bolts on the firewall.
Step 8: TAP THE FUSE
In order for the DRL to function during the day, you will need to tap the grey wire into your INJ fuse (10A) route and connect the two red wires, one to the back of each headlight.
Route the DRL wires to the other side of the headlight.
Step 9: TRANSFER BUMPER BRACKET BEFORE INSTALL
Transfer bumper bracket from stock headlights to the new ALPHAREX headlights.
Use Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws from the bumper bracket and transfer it to the new ALPHAREX headlights for reinstallation
Step 10: TURN SIGNAL PLUGS
Starting from the Driver’s side.
First, unplug the connector from the factory’s turn signal light.
Plug the harness (from the new ALPHAREX headlight) turn signal connector into the vehicle’s turn signal’s wire socket. Then connect ALPHAREX’s turn signal plug into factory’s turn signal’s light.
Plug the yellow wire from the DRL harness into the driver’s side wire.
Step 11: PLUG AND INSTALL THE HEADLIGHTS
Plug the low beam connector, high beam connector and the side marker connector into the new ALPHAREX headlight.
Plug the DRL wire connector into the headlight.
After plugged the connectors, carefully position the new headlight into the vehicle and align the mounting brackets for the installation.
Reverse the headlight removal process to install the headlight into the vehicle.
RPlease follow the same steps for the other headlight.
Step 12: TEST THE HEADLIGHT FUNCTIONS
Test the functions of your ALPHAREX headlights to ensure everything works properly.
Step 13: ADJUST HEADLIGHT LEVEL
After headlights installation is complete.
You will next aim the headlight at about 25ft against a wall on a level surface.
Clockwise to lower the level
Counterclockwise to raise the level
Please follow the same procedure for the other headlight.
Step 14: COMPLETE INSTALLATION
Congratulations! you have completed the installation for ALPHAREX 10-13 Toyota 4Runner Headlights.
